All About: Lash Lift’s

Get fuller, longer looking lashes that last without the upkeep or damage!

The eyes are the focal point of the face and enhancing the natural eyelashes with a lift and tint is an effective way to make the most of what we have naturally instead of being tied down with the maintenance of lash extensions.

A lash lift is an innovative method of giving the illusion the natural lashes are longer and have more volume by lifting and setting lashes in a upward curl from the root.

By following this process a lash lift will take all of the imperfections of your lashes (criss-crossed and twisted lashes in particular!) and straighten them out. This makes them easier to manage and apply mascara going forwards

I use the Lash Bomb lash lift system which is made in the UK with natural and nourishing ingredients.

What To Expect During Treatment

You will need a patch test at least 24h before your first lash lift & tint appointment to check for any reactions to products.

During the treatment you are laid on the beauty couch with your eyes closed for about 45 minutes.

The treatment begins by thoroughly cleaning the eye area to remove any residual makeup and oils. Once this is done a silicone curling shield is placed with an adhesive on the eyelids close to the lash line. The natural lashes are then curled over the top of the shield and set with an adhesive.

Once all lashes are combed up and separated in place, a lifting cream is applied to the lashes. This solution moulds the lashes to the shape of the curling rod. Following this, a neutralising solution is applied which sets the lash shape into place. The shields are then removed and a tint is applied to darken lashes. Finally, a moisturising serum is added to add moisture back into the lashes.

FAQ’s

Lash lifts ‘vs’ LVL ‘vs’ Lash perm?

LVL simply stands for Length, Volume and Lift. The process behind LVL is exactly the same as the lash lift and tint process explained above. The only difference is that LVL uses branded products by Nouveau Lashes and the lash lifts I perform use Lash Bomb products.
Lash lifts are very similar to the older style of lash perming - perms however tend to use a circular rod to set lashes around in a curl as opposed to a lift which ‘lifts’ lashes from the base for a more open-eyed looked.

Can it damage the natural lashes?

No - all steps within the Lash Bomb range have been developed with natural and nourishing ingredients to prevent damage and give long lasting results

Is it painful?

Not at all! Sometimes getting the lashes on the shield can be slightly irritating & fiddly but once this section is done it’s all about relaxation!

Can I put makeup on after?

Makeup and water must be avoided for 24h after the lift to ensure the best results! Opt for water based mascaras and an oil based eye makeup remover.

Before & After Care

Always best to come to your appointment with a clean eye area- no makeup

Lasts 4-6 weeks - amazingly low maintenance!! Once you’ve kept them clean and dry for 24 hours they are set and ready for you to carry on as normal!

Try and avoid any excess rubbing and water-based mascaras are always best to use! (Avoid water-proof mascaras)
